Lezita, a company engaged in the white meat and processed food industries, began utilizing BI Technology’s Qlik solutions to respond to market changes, swiftly and effectively accomplish its intended business objectives, and make data-driven business decisions.
Founded in 2006, Lezita is a relatively new firm that is among the top food companies in Türkiye. Lezita has been growing steadily since the day it was founded with the power drawn from Abalıoğlu, which is the first private sector feed company of Türkiye established in 1969. At its location in Kemalpaşa, İzmir, the company, which is among Türkiye’s 100 largest industrial enterprises, provides delicatessen items and practical further-processed products in addition to chicken meat. Lezita is ranked among the top five companies in the white meat industry and outperforms its rivals in further-processed goods.
Lezita is currently in the midst of a phase whereby it has substantially accelerated its technological investments. Lezita, a company that also carried out business intelligence projects, selected BI Technology as this project’s technology partner throughout this period.
According to Engin Arabacı, IT Manager of Lezita, the company understands well the significance of properly processing data, storing it in safe locations, and making informed choices using the data at hand. He underlines that they have accelerated their technological investments and have a well-established business intelligence culture in this regard. Engin Arabacı explains the reason why they decided to invest in a business intelligence solution and why, at this time, they favor Qlik: “Since we are a large-scale producer in a dynamic industry whose conditions change fast, it is crucial for us to meet our goals for both the business outcomes we want and the amount of time it takes to get there. The concept for a new business intelligence project was born at this moment due to a number of variables, including the incapacity of our current infrastructure to gradually refresh the data, report/dashboard file size constraints, person-based processes in updating the data, and the lengthy hours it takes to update the data. We began working with Qlik at this moment and started using these solutions. Speed was by far the biggest advantage Qlik offered us.
We were amazed by the Qlik product’s big data handling capabilities during our demo. By the project’s conclusion, we have shortened the current reports’ renewal times to 1/8th. Our new report development times have been cut in half thanks to the layered QVD architecture we have built.”
We can obtain data quickly and easily thanks to Qlik Together with BI Technology and its business partner DQ Türkiye, Lezita completed all project procedures related to business intelligence. Yiğit Uzer, the Lezita Software Manager,
outlines the project’s implementation processes as follows: “We made the decision to switch to
Qlik Sense following an outstanding POC procedure. As part of the project, we initially concentrated on accurately setting up the data infrastructure with QVD and promptly updating these files. Next, we focused on presenting this data on the Qlik Sense interface effectively. We went on to the report generating stage after successfully completing these phases.
We created more than 40 reports in only eight months, and we also introduced the NPrinting product—which allows for automated email sending. We are happy with where we are at this stage. The product usage rate is 50% higher than the goal. As a result, the IT staff and internal users are quite satisfied. I express my gratitude to BI Technology and its partner DQ Türkiye, for their hard work.”
Engin Arabacı explains the future projects they plan with Qlik as follows: “We can now quickly and effectively obtain the data we require thanks to Qlik technologies. Our main objective is to increase the use of Qlik even further. Apart from this, the mashup project suitable for Lezita’s corporate structure, and allowing users to view their own reports through the mobile application that we will utilize as an intranet are among the other projects we are planning.”
