This application has been developed from publicly available data, published under the US ‘Sunshine Act’ by the Centres for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The data shows payments made by pharmaceutical and biotech companies to individual physicians, companies and health systems. The total value of these payments is $693m and includes payments to more than half a million physicians. Payments can be tracked by company, drug type, medical device category and also by state/city. The application also includes payments made as part of research programs to healthcare organisations throughout the USA. In addition, the data includes company ownership information by physicians and royalty payments.
